Mr. Dwayne Wood, VP/GM SLF Asia, joined the Samuel Lawrence team in 2002. He is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of SLF's sourcing organization, focusing on new product development, quality control, vendor management and development, and overall supply chain management. Mr. Wood has over 11 years of experience in the furniture industry, most of those working on the ground in Asia. Prior to SLF, he managed sourcing relationships for two of the largest furniture importers in the U.S., Universal Furniture and Furniture Brands. † During those years, Mr. Wood sourced products throughout Asia (China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam). † Mr. Wood's home is in Taiwan and he is fluent in Chinese. Mr. Wood has an engineering degree from North Carolina State's School of Wood Technology.
