In 1973, the Samuel Lawrence Furniture Company was founded. The company originally manufactured wood waterbed frames and later shifted to manufacturing and marketing wood bedroom suites.
In 2002, under the leadership of its new president, George Revington, SLF began transforming itself from an Arizona-based manufacturer of promotional pine furniture, to a multi-divisional , global, design, sourcing and marketing company, producing full lines of furniture in the good, better and best categories. SLF now sells to nearly all of the major independent retailers in the U.S., who have the market power to choose the best designs and best service providers in the industry.
In 2005, the SLF name and sleek, new logo were developed to better represent the company's new sophisticated business model. In addition to its Phoenix, Arizona headquarters, SLF also maintains a permanent showroom and offices at the National Furniture Market in High Point, North Carolina, as well as a showroom and offices in Asia.
